We invite you to worship at Church of the Good Shepherd

Finding a church home can be a challenge, and living without the Body of Christ can leave you feeling alone and disconnected. We believe that nobody should feel left out from the church community. Jesus Christ established the Church for all people to find peace, grace, and redemption.

Our liturgy is beautiful, participatory, and rooted in centuries of Christian tradition.

Check out the service times, Bible studies, children’s education, and weekly events.

We are excited to meet you and look forward to worship the Lord alongside you on Sunday!

Church of the Good Shepherd, a historic parish established in 1885 in downtown Wichita Falls, is an Anglican Church worshiping in the Anglo-Catholic tradition of the Oxford Movement. We are part of the Episcopal Diocese of Fort Worth under the leadership of The Right Reverend Ryan Reed, and the Anglican Church in North America under the leadership of The Most Reverend Doctor Foley Beach. The Mass is prayed on Sunday mornings at 7:30am (said Mass) and 10:30am (sung Mass). Sunday Christian education is at 9am for adults (parlor) and children (parish hall) in elementary, junior high, and high school ages. Adults and children take part in Bible study and conversation.

When we walked in for the first time, 21 years ago, I could feel the presence of God. It has a very holy feeling.
— Jamie & Gayla S.
We were drawn to Good Shepherd because of the beauty and history of the church and then stayed because the community is so friendly and inviting.
— Valentine & Mishic L.
We started attending in 1984. We attended the Christmas Eve Mass and it was glorious, and the church was so beautifully decorated, plus we were so fondly welcomed!
— Eddie & Beverley A.

Our organist, cantors, and choir bring the breadth of the classical sacred music tradition into our worship with hymns, psalms and other service music from the 1979 Hymnal.

We believe that the beautiful music, as well as the visual art that surrounds us in the church's architecture, lifts up our minds to the contemplation of a beautiful God, and we are so grateful for all our musicians who enhance the beauty we experience on Sunday mornings with their gift of song.

We are proud to call downtown Wichita Falls our neighborhood. Visit the Downtown Wichita Falls website to learn more about the exciting revitalization of our historic downtown and discover new restaurants, galleries, events, and more!

We serve our neighborhood throughout the year by organizing regular donation drives to local downtown charities, like Faith Mission located just down the street from us. Our parish also contributes to the life of down town through numerous events, like our famous annual Election Day Bazaar and Soup Sale, Historic Church Tours, and our Shrove Tuesday Pancake Dinner.
