Bishop Ryan Reed

Diocesan Bishop

The Right Reverend Ryan S. Reed has served as the Diocesan Bishop since January of 2020. He succeeds the Right Reverend Jack Leo Iker, who served as the third Diocesan Bishop of Fort Worth from 1995 to 2020. His predecessors are the Rt. Rev. A. Donald Davies and the Rt. Rev. Clarence C. Pope, Jr.

From its inception, the Diocese of Fort Worth has committed itself to the proclamation and practice of traditional, Biblically-centered faith. There is a diversity of worship in the Diocese that ranges from traditional Anglo-Catholic spirituality to Evangelical expression. The churches of the Diocese continue to grow steadily as a direct result of our commitment to a traditional expression of Anglicanism and the fact that many of the North Texas communities we serve are young and growing.

Saige Plunk

Children’s and Youth Ministry Director

A lifelong follower of Christ, Saige was confirmed into the Anglican Church as an adult, allowing her to bring a unique perspective on what it means to learn the tenets of this tradition as a newcomer. With experience in early childhood education and a heartfelt commitment to guiding children on their own faith journeys, Saige is dedicated to creating an engaging, safe, and loving environment for the children of our church to learn the ways of Jesus.

While her most important role over the years has been that of homemaker, Saige has held various roles in child development that have equipped her with valuable skills and insights into how children learn, including her work as a home visitor for HIPPY (Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters), as a substitute teacher and paraprofessional in Burkburnett ISD, and as a weekday preschool teacher at Mabel White Baptist Church in her home state of Georgia.

While she took some time off from higher education to rear her own children, Saige holds an associate’s degree and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Social Work. After graduation, she plans to attend seminary to further equip her for the work of the ministry, with the goal of earning a Master of Divinity.

She completed Discipleship Training School at Youth With a Mission in Tyler, Texas and has participated in several mission trips, including a summer spent in Moldova. She hopes to inspire a love for all nations and a heart for missions with the children of Good Shepherd.

Saige is a loving wife of 25 years to her husband David and a proud mother of three children: Aubie (20), Matthan (17), and Solomon (14). Outside of her role at the church, Saige enjoys crafting, participating in local theater, and spending time with her family. She is excited to be part of a community that values and invests in the next generation of believers.
