Dear Friend,

I’m so happy that you are considering joining us for worship. My prayer for you is that you encounter God in this place, and that through that encounter you will find hope and encouragement. This church has been here for a long time, and things have changed since its founding. But the one thing that hasn’t changed is our desire to preach the Gospel, to gather weekly to receive the Holy Eucharist, and to encourage one another in this life.

We are proud of what the Lord has done through Good Shepherd over the years, but we are also looking with hope toward the future. We honor our past but we desire to build upon the great work that our ancestors have done. I believe that God is tilling the soil of this church in such a way that new growth will arise. I believe that the future is bright for Good Shepherd. There is lots of work to do, in a variety of areas, but the Lord has equipped each and every one of us to be a worker in his field. The gifts are different but the Spirit is the same.

I invite you to join us in the work God has given us to do, to love and serve the Lord, and to encourage one another in hope and love.
