The Sacrament of Baptism

“But Mary stood weeping outside the tomb, and as she wept she stooped to look into the tomb. +In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost. Amen. Beloved, saints of God, we have passed through the Great Fast of Lent into the glorious celebration of Easter Day. The Lights are bright, the flowers have returned to the altar, and we can once again say “Alleluia! Christ is risen!” Our penitential observance is over for now. Considering the celebration of Jesus’s resurrection, many of us will return to life as it was before Lent. We might take up once again a beneficial habit that we set aside as penitence. Perhaps you may once again begin to consume meat throughout the week. Maybe the change is only in your heart, a renewed joy and thanksgiving. Whatever the case might be for you, I implore you in the name of our Risen Lord to continue steadfast in the prayers, in the fellowship with the saints, and the apostles’ teaching.
