Rite of Reconciliation

In the Christian life, we have all dedicated ourselves to becoming better people. The Book of Common Prayer exhorts us to “examine your lives and conduct by the rule of God's commandments” and to “acknowledge your sins before Almighty God, with full purpose of amendment of life.”  The rite of reconciliation is intended to be an aid and comfort to us as we grow spiritually closer to God’s image.

Confession is a spiritual tool that is available to everyone, not a requirement. As the old Anglican adage reminds us: “All can, none must, some should.” If you wish to receive the comfort of this sacrament, you can schedule a time to meet with Fr. Elmer by contacting us.
