Holy Baptism at Church of the Good Shepherd

Baptism is a sacrament of initiation in the Christian Church. As the Book of Common Prayer says, "In it, we are buried with Christ in his death. By it, we share in his resurrection. Through it, we are reborn by the Holy Spirit."

Typically, anyone who wishes to be baptized, or any parent or guardian who wishes to have a child baptized, will first need to go through a series of catechesis classes. These classes are an introduction to the Christian life, and usually include an introduction to the Bible, the Apostle’s Creed, the Lord’s Prayer, and the Decalogue (Ten Commandments).

If you are interested in baptism for yourself, or if you are interested in having an infant, or young child, baptized, please fill out the baptism request form below, or speak with one of our clergy.
