Confirmation at Church of the Good Shepherd

Confirmation is a sacrament of initiation that is closely linked to the sacrament of Baptism. In it we are sealed by the Holy Spirit to care for each other and our neighbors.

It is an opportunity for each who receives it to affirm the vows made at their baptism and for children who are passing on into young adulthood (often around age 13) to take responsibility for their own faith.

Confirmation is usually administered any time the bishop visits the parish. If you are interested in receiving confirmation the next time the bishop visits, please fill out the confirmation request form below, or speak with a member of the clergy. Typically, anyone who has not yet been through one of our catechism classes will be expected to go through one in preparation for this sacrament.
